“History for medal” contest has eneded.
To mark its 85th anniversary the Warsaw Institute of Aviation has announced an international competition for a poster relating to aviation entitled ”Fly Like Birds”. The Competition opens on 16th March 2011 and closes on 31st July 2011.
27th of May 2011, because of the 85th Jubilee of the Institute of Aviation, Gala and Great Jubilee Ball will be organized by the Institute of Aviation, for present and former employees and invited guests. The place of the event is Fort Legionów near Zakroczymska street 12 in Warsaw.
Jubilee celebrations are planned for the entire year. Special events will occur in every month to mark work and efforts of thousands of polish scientists, who worked for the aviation for last 85 years. The main jubilee gala day will be on 27th of May 2011 in Warsaw.

On 1st February 2011 the names of the group of the bus stops and tramway stations near Institute of Aviation will be changed for “Instytut Lotnictwa”. Official opening of the new names will be a part of press conference, which is planned to initiate Jubilee Year.
