The Net Institute was brought to life as a network organization in response to recent global economic and social changes. Globalization, increasing international coope-ration, the worldwide shortage of civil engineers and the growing role of the world’s biggest companies, have all necessitated a change in the way aeronautical research and development is managed.
The mission of the Net Institute is to create favorable conditions for the balanced development of Polish aviation as an active player in the global market place.
Contemporary aviation is a broad and interdisciplinary area and, as such, can not be considered as separate from environmental, social, psychological or legal aspects. In consequence, a single institution can not possibly embrace all problems relating to aviation when defined in such general terms.
To realize its mission, the Net Institute has to competently combine the capabilities of all R&D centers, academic establishments and businesses actively engaged in aeronautics so that by accomplishing general objectives they do not compromise their individual missions. This type of cooperation can be ensured by a network organization.
The mission of the Net Institute is achieved through building networks to carry out R&D projects, developing the entire aviation industry as well as programmes supporting national economic policies. These efforts are to ensure, within Polish and international expert networks, the influx of young engineering staff, as well as provide a common working base for otherwise dispersed aeronautical resources and capabilities.
Our objectives
- Initiating and implementing aviation development programmes.
- Shaping engineering staff for the industry based on new technologies.
- Building and developing national thematic expert networks.
- Initiating and maintaining cooperation between national networks and international structures.
- Initiating and running R&D projects inside network structures.
- Carrying out projects supporting the national economic policies.
- Providing education for the purposes of the aviation industry.
- Investing in infrastructure and human resources.
- Monitoring the condition and HR needs of the aviation industry.
- Monitoring research capabilities of laboratories.
- Monitoring the current state of the aviation industry and forecasting future developments.
- Promoting and advertising the aviation sector.
- Building knowledge management systems organizing conferences and seminars.
- Shaping the scope and quality of higher technical education.
